The Tractor House

Sleeps 8 (4 bedrooms)

This characterful cottage with its warm brick and flint exterior walls once sheltered the farm’s tractors – hence its name.

Today, the spacious, comfortable building provides luxurious accommodation for up to eight guests.

You will find:

  • Two bedrooms, each with a king-size bed and en-suite facilities. (One bedroom comes with a bathroom and shower attachment, the second – which is upstairs, mezzanine style – has a shower room)
  • Separate shower/loo downstairs
  • One bedroom with twin beds
  • One bedroom with bunk beds (not really suitable for adults)
  • Open-plan sitting/dining room
  • Separate, well-equipped kitchen with a range of modern appliances
  • Friday changeover
  • Arrival time after 4 pm.

High standards of comfort and convenience throughout

Designs for The Tractor House’s conversion were prepared by a local architect, who has achieved high standards of comfort and convenience throughout while carefully retaining many original features. Conversion work was carried out by two local craftsmen, both of whom were brought up and still live in the village.

Light and welcoming

With cream walls, well-placed windows and wooden flooring, The Tractor House is light and welcoming and, thanks to full central heating, always comfortably warm.

Adding to its appeal are Kerri’s Pine furniture – made locally at Reepham, glazed wall tiles, kitchen appliances (Cooker, Hob, Dishwasher and Microwave) by Bosch, heated stainless steel towel rails, and a Sony television with Freeview and a DVD player.

Outside, a sheltered garden is an absolute suntrap – ideal for meals al fresco or simply enjoying the view. Inside, books, children’s toys and DVDs have been provided.

There is a shared laundry room close by with washing machine, tumble dryer and iron and ironing board.

A little history……

The Tractor House was originally a turnip store but when tractors first arrived it was where the family kept them and had their workshop and tool shed. Eventually, the tractors used on the farm became so big they were unable to fit inside!
